Adventures in the States, Part 4 - What it means to be an Auntie

Since we arrived to the States, I have been enjoying the days spent together with my small nephew, Caleb, and even smaller nieces, Natalia and Ariana.
Here are a few pictures to show our joy of reunification.

With the youngest one, the newborn Baby Ariana

who in these days still rarely opens her eyes, but when she does, I can say, it is one of her cutest moments

she usually eats (okay-okay, she also does these baby things, you mothers know, that all babies do)

and she sleeps

and sleeps, usually all day long. Just to be able to stay awake (and help her Mommy stay awake)during the night.:)

With the biggest little one, Caleb

who is already a big boy saying hello and bye-bye, and a bunch of other things in a special Hunglish language:)

he loves music and dances for hours
and hours, and also loves to have company during dancing (guess who that company usually was)
Even when he gets exhausted from dancing, he can never be exhausted enough for another puzzle- and of course, company is required here as well. Thanks to him, me, who never liked puzzles earlier before, today actually loves them! (that is the reason for bringing home a United States puzzle that Caleb has as well)
And she is Natalia
whom I not yet know well enough, still, I know she has a great nature, laughs a lot and never complains
she has beautiful blueish eyes and giggles when she is happy
and she loves to be huged and cared of
and yeah, similarly to her cousin, she loves company
so when she does not get it, she becomes sad, very sad (see those huge eyes?)
but now she is very happy to have several people around her :)

The days spent with Aranka's children were unforgettable.
Soon time arrives to return home, but I'll never forget these moments spent together.
In my memories, I will surely take with me:
Caleb's most charming, loveable smile
his cute words saying; 'hug, hug!', 'Come Bababa, play!', and other sayings that are so uniquely Caleb-like
I will from now on know what holding and caring of a newborn means

and what is it like to see a baby grow and develop day after day
I even won't forget Virginia's hot and sultry summer days with all those pool funs with the frogs and the lizzard

No doubt, I will take several memories with me back to Hungary. And since there can never be enough of great memories, I am looking forward to experiences and fun with Natalia as well.
You know: just to have enough of them till we all meet again.

P.S. So far we spent more time with Caleb and Ariana, which is the reason for more pictures -and memories- with them. Now it's Natalia's turn.;) Results may be seen here in a couple days.:)

Adventures in the States, Part 3 - Getting used to each other

During the last few days and weeks both we and the 'babies' had to get used to new situations and partly new people (long seen relatives), which means that though we have great times together, sometimes we become exhausted by the end of the day. Apparently, not just us, 'big ones', but the 'little ones', too.
Wanna see the evidence?:)
This cute angelic and mischievous smile might hold a hidden meaning (parents know...;))
though the toy bug on his head seems to function as a gloria
even the sweetest smile and the shiniest gloria cannot cover the truth that 'My parents (and grandparents and aunts:)) are exhausted'.
Oh no...what did you say? ME exhausting mommy and daddy?! CABEL??!! SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE! (with the typical Caleb 'oh no'-face) :)
Well, it could be...but
see, not only the parents but also the children are getting exhausted of the adults (I wonder why...)

since they attempt to attain a few calm minutes by sleeping peacefully and deeply in the midst of the day

Here are the sleeping beauties tired of the bunch of relatives

Still. no worry: as the Sun rises, Caleb will call out 'light Mommy, light!', Ariana will continue training her lungs and life will not cease to be lively in the house...;)
At least, until the Sun sets again.

Adventures in the States, Part 2- The birth of Ariana

On the 6th of July I have become an auntie for the third time, thanks to Ariana Thalia:)

Here are some pictures of my cute and loveable little niece :)

In the hospital,

where life wasn't that happy yet...

though the pacifier made things a bit easier.

I said: 'a bit'. Only for a few minutes...

however, now that she is home she really seems to insist on her pacifier,

since she puts it into and gets it out of her little mouth by own choice

and even poses with it when looking straight into the camera.

She also likes to hold on fingers

but primarily, yeah, she indubitably loves to be with her brand new Auntie:)

Adventures in the States - Part I

I don't really have the time nowadays to write about all my experiences happening to us in the States, but those who remained at home might be interested in it. Therefore, let me entertain you with a series of photos, just to allow a little insight into our everydays.

This First Part will be about our adventurous flight. The other parts are not yet decided, though I have the strong feeling much of it will be about Caleb, Natalia and Ariana:).

After at least 5 hours waiting at the airport, finally we are looking forward to the take-off in the airplane itself.
Success! 2 hours delay resulted in leaving Hungary around 15.30 pm (instead of our scheduled time 13.15 pm)
Though we always fly by Boeing 747s, I have never seen such a long airplane wing before...
The cotton-like stuff beneath us seems to be snow, but actually, it is cloud, of course
The temperature must be freezing cold up here: estimations talk about minus 50-60 Celsius degrees. See the frost flowers on the window?
Oh-oh, this one looks like a big shothole...I hope there are no terrorists on THIS plane...

We saw awesome clouds resembling to snow...
...and rivers reflecting sunshine...
and clouds that were blinding us with their whiteness.
Nearing JFK airport due to heavy storms we were ordered to slow down in the air and to make a diversion which resulted in subsequent delays
However, by 19.40, being weary though, we managed to get out from the transit area and start our stay in America.
to be continued...
